Radio Elton John is proud to announce that the next guest on Saturday Night’s Alright (for podcasting) is the acclaimed artist Andre Miripolsky.
Famed for creating THAT outfit, the piano key costume for Elton at the historic Central Park concert in 1980, Andre actually created no less than seven costumes for Elton’s 1980 World Tour.
You can see some of them in the gallery below this article. Photos kindly shared by Andre Miripolsky.

Andre Miripolsky
Andre has a very relaxed radio demeanour and you will witness it in this episode. Find out how painting slippers on Elton’s feet became the initiation in Andre’s association with Elton, and how he went on to illustrate many brands, including Absolut Vodka, Bette Midler’s album cover and even dressed Barbie doll for Mattel.
Andre confesses to us his three favourite Elton songs and tells us about the Elton Takes Manhattan 1980 painting he was commissioned to produce. We also announce a chance to win an enormous signed print of the masterpiece when Radio Elton John hosts a fundraiser to which you are all invited on the 45th annivesary of the 1980 concert in September. Proceeds will benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
Andre was a gas to speak with in this show and has a lot of anecdotes to share that you have never heard.
We also introduce the Radio Elton John tribute band, Pinner, with their latest song called London Calling.
Make sure to subscribe on REJ.World to hear the show on Platinum when it airs at 1800 BST on Saturday 26 July 2025. It will be available on FONO at a later date.
